Does anyone know of any good accounts of the events of 1848 in Europe? Of course I have read Marx and Engels' writings from the period, but I would like to read a more detailed account utilising sources. I found 1848: Year of Revolutions by Mike Rapport in my local library, which appears to be a fairly comprehensive account, although the author repeats some ridiculous slanders with regards Marx and Engels.

Off hand I can't think of any work that deals solely with them. As you might expect though, they tend to have a fairly prominent place in any general history of the period or any relevant nation history. Hobsbawm deals with them at length in either Age of Revolution or Age of Capital (can't remember which) while Harry Hearder devotes a chapter to them in his solid Europe in the 19th Century
