I was discussing the recent arrest of activists from Chicago today and my friend brought up these 'fusion centers' that are popping up all around the USA. Essentially what they are amounts to information gathering centers. They gather personal information of political dissidents, right wing, left wing, religious etc.

They say they don't track people but track 'trends'. Not sure what that means?

Anyhow here is some of their views on Anarchists, Marxists, and anti war protesters:

I haven't heard of Fusion Centers before.

As for "trends", I'm guessing it's their way of saying they are analyzing the activities of a group, possible ideological links, and so on so as to assess their "threat" and future activities.

I also noticed they placed anonymous with "Anarchist Extremists"

I guess they have different 'fusion centers' in every state monitoring peoples political activity. It seems strange people accept this.
