For a minute, I thought you were talking about the song, Comeback Kid. (Which I'm glad you're not, because I find it pretty annoying.) Comeback Kid the band is alright sometimes though. I'm very particular with Comeback Kid.

I like their albums "Wake the Dead" and "Symptoms + Cures"
When I saw them back in 2005, with Terror, Suffocate Faster, and Modern Life is War, it was one of the wildest shows of my life. They're better live than recorded, I think.

Comeback Kid is fucking awesome, definitely one of the best live shows I've ever seen, I'm somewhat sad I missed them around this Christmas (and like 3 other times since I listen to them :x) Also one of the first bands I listened to when I explored into Hardcore punk.
And yes, they are definitely better live, much better. Matter of fact, I deleted all their non-live albums except Symptoms + Cures (cos I don't have live recordings), and only listen to Through The Noise nowadays.

They are catchy and all, and I like them I guess, but for some reason I have absolutely no desire to see them and have passed on the opportunity a million times.

Comeback kid was started in 2002, by members of Figure Four which formed 1996. I Adapt started in 2003 and released their first album the same year (as did Comeback Kid. Comeback kid released an EP in 2002, as did I Adapt.
Their sound is similar, yes, but both bands' sound is also very similar to the general Posicore/new-YouthCrew/Straightedge scene sound (for example Have Heart). I think your claim is rather unfair.

I like them, used to listen to them a lot a few years ago.
I'd still recommend them to those who are hardcore punk fans

You're wrong actually. I Adapt was started in 2001, released their first split cd that year, their first EP "Why Not Make Today Legendary?" in 2002 and "Sparks Turn to Flames" in 2003.
What I was really referencing to was that "Wake the Dead" sounds like a cheaply stolen version of Sparks by I Adapt, which was released two years earlier. Yet I Adapt got no fame (in the hardcore scene), probably because they're from this shitty northern island. As punks used to say in Iceland "if I Adapt was American, they'd be the biggest band in the hardcore scene".
