A question for any Objectivists outthere....

I notice most (if not all) Objectivists support wars done in the name of so called "freedom" like Vietnam, Iraq , and Iran however isn't taking tax money to "ensure freedom" in other counties , just the same as taking tax money to help the poor? what if its not in my "rational self-interest" to care what happens to people in Iraq?
