Do any of you know this guy? The reason I'm posting this isnt because of his opposition to an Israeli state but is to highlight what he said about (Jewish?) "Bankers" funding the holocaust. What do you think about that?

To be honest...just because he mentions bankers and Jew-related stuff in the same sentence, doesn't mean that he's claiming that the bankers are themselves Jewish. Despite what some people may have you believe...there are some non-Jewish bankers :rolleyes: On a totally unrelated note, I find he has quite an annoying voice. I think people with such voices shouldn't talk through megaphones, they should have somebody else do it. A designated speaker with a pleasant voice, if you will :)

Never heard of him. However, the funds of Nazi Germany were vast, and Hitler himself talked to many different big bankers and capitalists when he was riggling his way into power; it would not be unreasonable that a banker of Jewish ancestry audited, taxed, etc. the Nazi party, especially during Hitler's scheme of attaining dictatorship.
A scheming capitalist of any ancestry or religion would be willing to gain capital from warfare.

Did ya see it? :) Anyway, when he says the same bankers who funded the holocaust are funding the Israeli state I would think one could assume he's talking about "Jewish bankers". It just seemed odd. Not his opposition to a Jewish state but the statement in and of itself. I'm no supporter of Israel but I wouldn't want a communist out active in the community going down that road is all. I'll spark up a correspondence with him and ask him myself. It's not the end of the world or anything but the guy is teaching classes at local book stores and libraries.

I see how one can assume that. But it would make sense only if one either thought "all bankers are Jews" or "only Jews support Israel" or something the like.

I've heard the conspiracy theory that the Rothschild family funded Hitler. I thought he may be regurgitating that. The 'theory' even goes as far as to say Hitler offered to sell Rothschild trains full of Jewish people and he turned Hitler down. I don't think bankers are all Jewish :)

Basically this. What you're saying seems to assume that Jews are bankers...
I'm pretty sure this guy is part of the Workers World Party though.
