I thought this was too stupid and unsophisticated to be put in sciences and environment, so i'll just put it here.

Wouldn't it be cool if all the phones under Socialism were android ones? Of course with a different name though.

Android already is pretty much dominating the phone industry, and I'll estimate almost every phone is going to be android eventually... except the windows and apple phones.

So whaddaya think? Android phones ftw!

Anyway, I actually have a question. Under Socialism, is their going to be different varieties of different products? Like phones and computers?

Also to be off topic, what about different clothing styles?

Well, socialist cells would definitely use open source software.

Definitely I want to live without putting email, telephone, just an address mail to contact me for job, assistance, etc.

It annoys me to fill out every blank for technology communication.

I prefer to live simple life without having to worry about the goddamn ringing or annoyance from someone else.
although it would be nice to have mp3+web browser with media playback that run at the same time, but to bug me for communication and make it as requirement? FUCK YOU!!!

I think all phones should have poker instead of klondike. Because my Blackberry has klondike and it sucks and my sister's Blackberry has poker and she can't even play poker.

Well, the future smartphone have klondike. And no rojo, no requirement.

I could be wrong, but I tend to envision an open source OS like Android eventually surpassing windows, and becoming the most frequently used operating system. I myself am on my second android device, and I must say that I'm pretty satisfied with it.

I think there will be different varieties (rather than brands) of a product. The model for this is open source software. Someone says, "Hey, wouldn't it be great to have a program that does X?" If there's enough interest, others jump on board and develop the idea. At some point, a few developers may decide the project isn't going in a direction they like and branch off a new project. Users wind up with a choice of two somewhat similar programs, and decide which one they prefer.

Just substitute "product" for "program" and there you go.

Same idea with clothing styles. Different designers have very different ideas, and people decide what they like. Virtual reality would make the process a lot more efficient. You can gauge demand for a certain style of dress or shirt or shoes before ever committing material to the effort.

Free payphones alone wouldn't phase out mobiles. Mobiles took off because it's a number that will generally reach someone wherever they are. So how about free mobile instead?

We'll still have annoying ringtones.

We'll all have the same phone number under socialism.

Think about it like this guys.

If everyone had their own smartphone, they could:

Have Internet, Television, Work, friends, Camera, games, A form of currency, Radio, Music, Movies, Art, books, ect. on them already on the Average smartphone.

Almost everyone under Socialism should have a smart phone. Well, they don't have too, but I don't see why not.

pay phones will be free and cell phones will be phased out

Why do you suppose that that will be the case?

What better way to experience the world than living through 4"X3" screen

it's more economical and sensible

But under socialism we'll be able to make proper usage of all the world's plenty. Mobile phones are a contact number for one specific person wherever they may be.

I'd love a smart-phone now - I'd imagine that in socialism, workers would want to make more things like that: integrated technology so that less hardware has to be produced. Stop producing Ipods and just make all phones have free access to a central lexicon of music and video entertainment for a start.

It'd be much more convenient for users of technology and much better for the producers since they could make fewer things but make them more flexible in their use. With capitalism, we have 5 or 6 different companies all trying to offer streaming video so they can dominate that field - there are several companies all trying to corner digital books - we had HD and Blu-Ray each producing 1/2 of the high def movies - we had different companies trying to become dominant in flat-screen TVs and so on. What a waste - someone always ends up with a shelf full of useless betamax or laser-discs because of fucking capitalism:lol:.

Under socialism, we shall abolish wild-ass speculation.

...and after abolishing wild-ass speculation, we'll implant chips into people's heads that will operate as smartphones :)
