This thread is such a bad idea.

Deleted image because apparently, Judaism is sacred territory, whilst Catholicism is the dirty brown people religion, so it's ok to bash it.

El Vagoneta: that's kind of sort of a little bit very anti-semetic.

I don't think this requires a funny subtitle.

"Finally, I desired that, if there is to be talk about philosophy, there should be less trifling with the label “atheism” (which reminds one of children, assuring everyone who is ready to listen to them that they are not afraid of the bogy man), and that instead the content of philosophy should be brought to the people."

Yet he refused to have anything to do with the League of the Just until they are rid of their superstitious babble.

Was this enough bashing?

I don't think so. It is a joke about Judaism as a religion, not about Judaism as an ethnic identity. I'll take it down, but essentially what is the difference between what I posted and what the OP did. Maybe the OP's post is racist since a lot of blacks are Southern Babtists and Latinos are Catholic.
No, it is not anti-semitic unless it's blatantly racist, which it is not. Although the source and originators probably are.
IDK, I guess I'll take it down, but as Charles Bronson says, "This ain't over"

God is an asshole. If he exists, and we all go to hell, let's stick together and burn together, and then conspire to kill and overthrow god and replace it with a Human paradise. :thumbup1:
Religion is certainly the opiate of the masses. People I know wh are religious can't even accept this life as important, or meaningful. Instead, they sit and say "Well, in time, the bad ones will be judged so I don't care if I'm oppressed".
Also their morals leaking through society pisses me off.
Their Idea that "Oh human nature exists because god gave us free will, and our envirement can't possibly have anything to do with it because you know, Capitalism is what god wants. "
The only ones that I could possibly even sympathize with are Liberation theologists, or revolutionaries in general who endorse Secular governence.

But for the record, I have never met anyone in the states who immediately upon hearing it associates catholicism with "dirty brown people" since most Americans minds aren't preoccupied with Latin America.

If you haven't seen the HBO documentary, Soldiers in the Army of God, then I suggest you do so. (I think, if you're too lazy to get the DVD, all the parts are on YouTube?) If a religious person can't see the insanity of their members, then I don't know what will. But then again, there have been plenty of insane shit done by religions in the past/present that still keep it's membership growing.

True, and there are many white (usually of Irish or Italian descent) that are Catholic in the US too. So, it's not entirely the religion of Latin America or anything. I'll let you know, that I'm not overly sensitive about Christian/Catholic bashing, since I am a die hard atheist, and happen to think that the Catholic church is shite. But it does seem like a bit of a double standard to me.
I'm starting to think though that whomever said this thread was a bad idea was correct...
