This film's storyline will be based on a Chinese (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/People%27s_Republic_of_China) invasion of the U.S.A.
Oh God. <Sigh>

It's hard for me to imagine how they'd even do a Red Dawn remake. It's just such a product of it's time.

In this, the sequel, the Chinese Red Army officially embarrasses our suburban areas with their superior real estate property values...!

Im trying not to laugh. "A group of teenagers resist a chinese invasion of the USA"
I mean this is really insane. I mean, hey, lets make a propaganda film demonizing the country that produces 90% of our goods! I love how china has literally done NOTHING to aggravate the USA yet people still produce this crap

The first one was widely popular they say...I don't know why... It was a shitty movie.

Dear God, this is cheesier than the propaganda leaflets that my grandfather has read in the 1950s that talked about how the USA purposefully introduced Colorado potato beetle to our potato crops :D .

"Americans, after repeated phone calls to your president about defaulting on your country's debt of 1,000,000,000,000,000 dollars, we've decided to repossess your country. We are truly sorry it had to come to this."

They showed it to us in school once (!) in our social studies class. Thankfully we had a humorous teacher (film buff too it seems) who injected snide commentary about the crap in the movie. Too bad I was too young to understand the comments he was making.

Yeah, they'll emerge out of hidden bunkers in the ground at dawn to give us consumer goods and accept our worthless national debt certificates in return.

Jack Abramoff won't let them because he'd have to give his profit share back to the Native American tribes he swindled. I understand that he teaches classes in screenwriting from his jail cell.

My absolute favourite film of all time, obviously not for its political slant but for its humour value and the dream of communists controlling part of the continental United States.
Obviously this remake sounds shit, and absolutely without any basis. At least there was a existing conflict between the USA and the USSR at the time of Red Dawn.

Remakes are hardly ever as good as the original. The original Red Dawn might have been cheesy and anti-communist but damn it's so much fun.

It is not bad as the plot of the game Home Front where North Korea hacked US defenses and occupies most of the USA.

It is also funny the resistance is using high tech weaponry that a insurgency simply wouldn't have the resources to use as the game, in this game the American insurgents having f-ing white phosphorus rocket artillery (so in this game even when the US is defeated it can still kick ass).

Why is it called red damn now. I don't think that there is a single person which considers China socialist or communist. If anything China wants to become the leading capitalist power. Also notice how the teenagers in the picture encompass every race except Asians. Wow were they all put in internment camps like that time that the US feared a Japanese invasion? Doesn't anyone learn from history in this movie?

The guy who was involved in the original Red Dawn is involved in that game too. It also happens to be set in suburban and rural Colorado settings.
But yes, I too find the possibility of NK being able to do all that funny.

On the little tags on their guns, clothes, food, and other supplies, it says "made in China." China offers to sell the teenagers arms at a low low price so that the teenagers can attack China. Afterwards they will eat cheap Chinese food out of plastic bowls made in China.

But yes, I too find the possibility of NK being able to do all that quite humorous.
That and the US resistance can field such weaponry after they are facing occupation without being armed outside military power. It is like they wanted to have Americans as resistance fighters but also wanted them to expensive imperialist war toys. At least the game Freedom Fighters had the American resistance hiding in sewers and fightings with only small arms they looted from the USSR occupying army, Freedom Fighters also explained the USSR occupation as alternative history were the USSR became the leading power after WWII.
