Peace, my Brothers and Sisters,

I see many of us around this Earth. Many of our People have been gathering in solidarity with our Tunisian Brothers and Sisters, now they are gathering in solidarity with our Egyptian Brothers and Sisters. Here is a collection of locations that will be standing in solidarity in the US and Canada. Show your support even if you do not stand out there; simply spread the word, be a voice for the voiceless, promote our Solidarity!

Thanks for the info. I'll be making the 2.5 hour drive to D.C this weekend to stand with the people and support our brothers and sisters in their struggle from oppression.

Was at the solidarity demonstration in Atlanta. GREAT turnout and a lot enthusiasm. CNN anchors came down and asked stupid questions to people with a higher political consciousness than them. The most important thing I noticed though, was the sheer amount of people looking at Egypt and thinking "The working-class here have similar problems, revolution may be a necessary solution here."

Those, who are standing in support of the struggle in Tunisia, Egypt and other part of Arab world, I am requesting them to stand in support of the struggle going on in India and join ICAWPI (www.icawpi.org) against the brutal repression of Indian state to its own people.

I like how it says "around the world" and doesn't even leave North America. I'm thoroughly impressed about the lack of solidarity in Europe, or maybe I just don't see it.

im actually surprised as well.

didnt thousands mobilize in sweden in the blink of an eye when the flotilla massacre happened?

is this because Egypt is a popular vacation area for Europeans?

I doubt it is. About Sweden and the Flotilla (similar protests happened elsewhere), I think the reason for that is that there are longsince-established ties between Palestinian groups and solidarity groups in Europe. The situation in Palestine is also far less obscure, most groups and papers already have their opinion about it and just repeat it whenever the situation escalates. It's a fairly, for lack of a better word, "traditional" topic in (Western) Europe.

Tunisia and Egypt on the other hand... most people I spoke to, although they knew of the situation and the protests and all, they had the exact same outlook as me - they didn't have any fucking clue what is going on and who is behind it.
