I use to play, but don't anymore, or rather haven't in a long while.

I had a vintage Gibson SG and a Les Paul out of a vintage Peavey.

If I was inclined to play now, It would be acoustic.

I'm pretty classic when it comes to guitars. My dream guitar is a Martin D-28. It's way out of my reach.. so that's where it stays-- in my dreams.

Love Strats.. gotta admit.. don't know too much about Ibanez and never played one.
I'd love to see the Ibanez.. do you have a link to a pic?

I love epiphone les pauls. I actually prefer them to gibson, and they are fuckin way cheaper.

I play rather regularly, usually post rock/ambient type stuff.

My setup is revolves around my Fender Jazzmaster, which I play through a Fender super champ. I also have a decent set of pedals, which are mostly focused around modulation and reverb/delay. I have a lower range Yamaha acoustic as well, though I rarely play it.

Ive always wanted a jazzmaster, if you like ambient/postrock kind of stuff. Comets On Fire is cool and the singer/lead guitarist uses a jazzmaster or maybe a jaguar but the both kinda look like same.

I don't have any pedals, I want an envelope filter so I can get that jerry garcia sound.

I play a Les Paul Standard, Tobacco Sunburst -- and a Fender Strat, as white as Hendrix's used to be.

Just the blues. Only the blues.

Marshall amps.

I play somewhat. I usually use drop C or one whole step down from standard with light gauge strings. As far as effects, I usually have one of the following set-ups:

1. Everything but the bass and gain turned down on the amp and the tone knob on the guitar turned low.

2. The treble and gain turned up all the way with the bass turned down, sometimes with a peddle with the same set up.

3. Have one signal going to different amps, with one being set as #1 and the other being set as #2; or both with everything turned up while one amp is overdriven and the other is clean.

Basically, it's either like black metal, doom metal, or both.

Yeah, it looks like he uses a jaguar. The main telling differences are in the pickups and finish, Jazzmasters have single coils that are sort of expanded to look like humbuckers or something along those lines, while Jaguars have either conventional humbuckers or single coils. Jaguars have more metal on the pickguard and I believe a different variation of knobs for tone and the like. It is pretty common to mix them up though, like half the people who have seen my guitar have called it a Jaguar. I actually used to mistakenly refer to my guitar as a Jaguar for the first few weeks after I got it too, so yeah.

Thanks for the suggestion though with Comets on Fire, I had not heard of them but they are pretty decent. They sort of have a Sonic Youth sound to them, based on the song I listened to.

Epiphone Les Paul Standard in blue is my standard guitar. I also have an Ibanez Jet King III which I use for slide. I've got an Ibanez aboustic too, and some random cheap electric guitars, one of which I'm going to take the frets out of.

I play through a Fender Hot Rod Deville 410. I go through a Big Muff Pi fuzz pedal, Digitech whammy pedal, Line 6 Echioplex delay, and Jimi Hendrix wah (I'm gonna get a new one, I hate the tonal range on it). I really wanna get a Dunlop Rotovibe. Also, I wish Death By Audio's pedals weren't so expensive cause they're awesome.
