I started helping with teaching in an elementary school.
In my class, there's this child who has ADHD. Ok. Now, what's my problem?
They treat him using medications. He's a zombie because of that. As a seven year old. He roams around during breaks. He's a loner. As a seven year old.
On top of that, he looks like Trotsky... but let's put that aside.
What am I to do? I will be gone after two weeks. My attempts at talking to him have failed. Under tears he told me he has no friends. During sports class, he always dresses himself alone in the showers. The others make fun of him.
I'm desperate, I have no idea on how to help him. Maybe talking to the principal about his medication will ... achieve something? He's a child, I mean seriously, every other child runs around freely, playing in the mud, laughing at random stuff... while he isn't.
So...... any hobby-psychologists around here? :|
