Last sunday 35.000 people protested, asking politicians to quikly form a government. It's been more then 200 days since the elections and politicians are still bickering.

Anyway, this banner reads: "against every form of nationalism"
while the protesters are waving Belgian flags and dressed in the Belgian colors...

Yes, I imagine it's funny, but I have to live in this country!
Some good friends even asked me if I was coming along to the protest, for fucks sake.

You should start a protest that has banners reading: Don't bother with a new government, just let us be in charge now!

Believe it or not, everyone on the planet isn't inherently an anarchist.

There were fascists with banners that said they wanted a total goverment, the end to all political parties, a ruler-king and a referendum à la the election of Hitler to make it all legitimate.

Not everyone's a communist either, and you still don't see protests for more capitalism very much.

Better yet, they protested for any government. Didn't matter what kind, as long as it was a government.

I have never been belgium.

But I must say that I travel quite a bit for work, gatherings, and to see family, and I run into Belgians with the same frequency I run into a citizen of San Marino. I meet other travelers or expats from "smaller" European countries like Portugal Austria and Denmark often; and it's weird because I come across quite a few from Holland and France and on the road. I mean I guess it's a sign that Belgium is one amazing place. But I've never met somebody who is actually from Belgium IRL.
