Ohhh, NO NO NO!
Big, so big, of a understanding! Not a Canadian! Back in the 1800's a member of our family disappeared into Canada, though we don't know what happened to him- that's as close as the connection gets between me and Canada. It's just in my experiance, most people of radiacal political persuasions come from Canada, cause they didn't actually have to fight for their independance and are kinda the lame ducks of the ideological world, thier only guide in politics being the fervent anti-Americanism. Good people when you meet them in Canada, but can be very arrogant when comming down south to the US, without good cause (what's up with that Mantra "At least we can walk around wearing the Canadian Flag on our backpacks without getting attacked around the world? A person could probably do the same with the Saudi Arabian flag in a US VFW, big freaken whoop.)
Anyway, though I support the use of stereotypes when making split second desicions in situations like when walking down the strret and seeing a group of people and trying to decide if their dangerous or not, I try to give each individual a fair chance. However, being Canadian is points Negative starting right off the bat!
By old roommate in Job Corps was Canadian, many-many problems with him, told me so much about the horrors of thier medical system, like how people arn't allowed to own private medical insurance, many are forced to come to the US to get surgery, ect. I was totally horrified.
One last thing about Canada, I somehow picked up their acccented EH, as well as the pirate Ey (as in ey' captain). Pretty sure it was from him, can't seem to shake it.

Yeah I have a connection like that in South Africa. My grandma's brother was on a ship off the coast of there in WWII, and was about to be hanged for punching-out an officer, so he abandoned ship and went to South Africa. Never heard anything since, so I'd assume I have some distant cousins in South Africa.
Oh yaeh you're also wrong about that flag-on-backpack thing. Most Americans couldn't tell you what a Saudi flag looks like if their life depended on it.

well.
If you're basing your perseptoins of Canada because of an old roommate, than you have problems.
We have private healthcare facilities, not many, and good thing too. You're obviousll not a leftist since you appear to be advocating private healthcare.
ps. go fuck yourself

P.S. Go Fuck Yourself
Words of wisdom! Yep, typical Tory.
Don't even try to classify me politically, I fit in on neither on the left nor the right, and CERTAINLY not in the middle.
I'm against state-run socialist systems, this is true. But I bet you I have more socialism running through my blood than you, or for that matter most of the people on these boards. Statist beware, your in for a shock! You have no idea how connected the people of my area are, we have a lot of community based services. Poor are hungery only because of thier shame, the homeless exsist only because they shun charity. We work fery hard to make sure everyone has enough. My state is one of the pioneers in the US of Free Clinics, the churches are organized to help people with emergencies, ect.
I HAVE ABIG PROBLEM WITH PEOPLE WANTING GOVERNMENT TO DO EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We can take care of ourselves downhere in the USA, now go F* yourself you retarted National Socialist; we're not going to march to your drumbeat, NEVER DID, NEVER WILL.
(P.S. I'm judging Canada on SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much more than just what my roommate said.)

I see we've got a libertarian/anarcho-capitalist here who thinks he's a socialist, eh?...oh, whoops! did i jsyt classify you? But i'm right, aren't I? You know I am you little whore. Either you're a libertarian or you're a horribly misguided anarcho-socialist. Socialism, by the way, lad, is a movement that seeks to bring the wroking class to power, obviously not through privately controled means of production, as this would not at all further the amancipation of the working class, but instead help to further oppress the working class by working agaisnt its unification and centralizing power in teh hands of greedy individuals.

I'm neither a Whore nor a Libertarian, not a Anarchist, no am I a Capitalist you damn slut.
Why can't I be a Jeffersonian if I'm to be classified at all? He didn't believe in political parties.
Political parties take all the thinking out of politics, I don't believe in the Republican system, but I follow it only because all other systems I've seen so far pale in comparision.
What party does the grass-roots movements belong too? Who owns the volenteers? I'm not my Senators, Governors, nor my President *****, but I follow as well as lead them by my actions. America is a Rebublican structured democracy, three levels of government which I hold in the highest of regards- local, state, National level- but never forget, in America we have no rights or freedoms, only restrictions. Why, because we are by nature free in every aspect, we are the soverigns, we guide our own destiny. WE THE PEOPLE try to solve the problems before they appear, shapping our society through non-profit organizations (as well as profit) of simple citizen actions. Ever volunteered to mow you elderly neighbors grass? Or help out a family down the street with money?
YOU DO NOT KNOW ME!

Ya, I was reading a book a while back called the Professor and the Madman, it talked about how during the American Civil War the Union used to brand Irish deserters with a big D on their face. Dr. Minor (in the book) went insane having to do that, spent the rest of his life afraid of the Irish, thinking they were sneaking into his room and molesting him. He shot a guy in London, was locked up, cut his thingy off, and submitted 10,000 quotes to the Oxford English Dictionary. Strange, but true story.

The one who called me whore, I figured it was an acceptable response given what he/she called me. (p.s. I'm a guy, being called a whore is a badge of honor to most guys.)
