Okay, this is going to sound weird and probably insignificant, but I'm really curious to know what the fuck my body is doing.
Every single morning, when I wake up, I have a terrible taste in my mouth. It makes my breath smell awful, it tastes hideous, and it even gives me a stomach ache. There's usually a film of some kind on the inside of my mouth that won't go away unless I gargle and spit with something abrasive like salt water or mouth wash. The bad breath is not pleasant for the woman I share my bed with (REALLY discourages spontaneous morning sex), the taste is irritating, but the stomach ache it causes is actually starting to disrupt the quality of my sleep. Sometimes I'll wake up several hours early with a nasty stomach ache and be forced to gargle with mouthwash to get rid of the taste (the stomach ache clears shortly after), and at that point I'm wide awake, until mid-day hits and I'm tired again.
I don't know what the hell causes this, and I've tried a few things just based off of guessing. I've tried brushing my teeth more before bed, not brushing before bed, eating just before bed, not eating just before bed, and pounding my head against the wall until my eyes bleed. (Okay, not that.) Does anyone have any idea what this is, why it's happening, and how I can stop it?
