Something is wrong here in America... aside from the things that have (normally) been long, I feel as though something new is coming up and when it does, it will be a direct blow not only to us but to those who are deemed "undesirable." I will admit that this could just be some mental trick, but I don't know... what does revleft think about this possibility and the current climate of the US at the moment?

My vote is s.o.s. (same old shit).

Nothing new has happened in the U.S. that I can recall since the Cold War.

Runaway military budget. Overt and covert wars. Terrorist attacks following American atrocities then followed by American atrocities. A population of frightened pigs with sub-par common sense, perception and intelligence. Urban decay. Violence. Oppression and discrimination against minorities, oppression and discrimination against majorities. Rampant and grotesque consumerism. Fundamentalism. Apathy. Paranoia. Greed. Gullibility. A corrupt legal and law enforcement system.

The list goes on, but I'm tired of typing, and hopefully made my point.

None of this shit is new. It's all been repeated for decades. Generations. The stages and players are always new, but it's the same old story.

Whatever may be next, I'm sure it won't be new; just a new take on these old ideas.
