Had my iTunes on random and this song came up. Just remembered that it's about the events in 68 France and is probably one of the best songs about it, it's depressing as fuck.

We were always on our own -
we were seeing things breaking down for once, crossing fingers until it comes full circle.
The shimmer of light or the blinding sun-
now watch as we talk about how we acted,
we were living in the streets then.
Crossing the white and yellow lines,
if only our hearts were as big as our imaginations, pulling bullets from our pockets.
I was there when it all fell down,
this play is the justification of what we hated, now we can see our deaths or the opera.
It's 68 it's 68- the year false hope died.
You can see the fear-

I just wanted to post about this song I don't really care about anything else you guys post in here go nuts.

Canciones Libertarias comes to mind, which is a CD with songs from the Spanish Revolution (A Las Barricadas, Viva La Fai, International Anarquista, etc.). Also 1936 by The Ex, and English Rebel Songs by Chumbawamba.

Other than that:

The Clash - Spanish Bombs (Spanish Civil War)
Ton Steine Scherben - Rauch-Haus-Song (about the squat of the Bethanien Hospital in Berlin)

I prolly know more, just not right now.

Phil Ochs has a rather good song about the Spanish Civil War, fittingly enough titled "Spanish Civil War Song". I can't find a video link to it though, sadly.

This is about the Battle of Blair Mountain, I think.
