This article is so stupid. You pick Nam as a source for your conclusions? Remember it was an unpopular war. I bet you will get similar stories from the Red army in Afghanistan (RUSSIA"S VIETNAM BTW, but I suppose it wasn’t expansionism right?)


You guy act like American soldiers would run at the sight of fire. Well we happen to be the superpower, our past is full of violence and many wars and we have so many stories of heroism and bravery. I dare anyone to ever invade America. You guys act like we're pussies, lazy and fat never mind we put in more hours than any other nation on the planet for work. This has nothing to do with a capitalistic army btw. When we go and fight it is not for the economic system we believe in but it t for patriotism (which btw we all have in our countries).

Let me ask you this, can anyone ever invade America successfully?

No one calls the American troops 'cowards', infact it took great bravery to say no and fight back.

I'm not sure why you bring up Afghanistan, that was when the USSR was Social-Imperialist and had many Capitalist traits to it's society. And it wasn't just Vietnam when troops rebbelled, see the example of the Phillipines after WW2, Truman and co wanted to go and crush the Communist resistance that had beaten the Japanese Fascists. But because the rank and file troops would have nothing to do with it and fought against it, it didn't happen.

You say it was for 'patriotism' well many GI's told you to shuff that patriotism. Who will successfully invade America? At the moment no one, look at the geography. More likely that your own troops and population will have enough of Imperialism abroad and Rascism and slave labour at home. Then again you can allways call out the National Guard and KKK goons, that's worked in the pass. Oh but didn't Tsar Nicky think that would work?
