Russia's Medvedev calls for crackdown on Neo-Nazis

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on Monday urged a crackdown on far-right nationalists, the latest government effort to curb neo-Nazi movements after Moscow saw the worst racial clashes since the fall of the Soviet Union. Neo-nationalist movements have been gaining ground and boosting their membership over the past year, shocking authorities and many ordinary Russians. At rallies, some tout swastikas and chant slogans such as "Russia is for Russians!"

As I've understood it, Russian Nazis want to abandon Northern Caucasus and instead retake Kazakhstan, Eastern Ukraine, the Trans-Dniestr Republic and Belarus, and then purge all that land combined of Non-Russians.

Medvedev is turning against nazis, because he knows they are Putin's militia. Even though Medvedev was under Putin's wing until he became president, he now represents the more progressive and western-friendly and (as far as a capitalist can be)democratic part of Russia's bourgoies class. Its intresting to see how this is gonna turn out...
