These women were forced to either carry to term and deal with the enormous burden of an unwanted child, or visit a terrifying place such as this, as punishment for daring to have sex without holding a perfectly stable life or job.

I think that's the real tragedy, as unfortunate as infanticide is.

I think I feel a little more sorry for the kids to be honest :p

But I agree with you, the women shouldn't have been placed in such a situation.
