To be honest, they seriously, both in their rhetoric, their ideological motifs and idols, and their broad character sound more and more proto-Nazi every day. They remind me intensely of early völkisch movement (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V%C3%B6lkisch_movement) that presaged the Nazis in many ways. I do believe in the Tea Party and its associated groups (especially more radical fringes, like the Patriot movement and Oath Keepers (http://motherjones.com/politics/2010/03/oath-keepers)) are in many ways, preparing a right-wing populist and fanatic phalanx as a bulwark against expected intensification of social struggles as we move forward, should big capital come to require its use.
