SI decision on Tunisia 17 JANUARY 2011
A decision has been taken by the President together with the Secretary General, in accordance with the statutes of the Socialist International, to cease the membership of the Constitutional Democratic Assembly (RCD) of Tunisia.
This decision, in extraordinary circumstances, reflects the values and principles which define our movement and the position of the International on developments in that country.
Only 23 years late guys...

I hope that this makes a lot of folks who participate in this international organization look internally at what the purpose of it is and critically examine themselves.

The Socialist International (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialist_International) is the follow up of the Second International (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_International) (there were some intermediary organisations between 1916 and 1951).
It is not socialist in the sense we understand the term.
