Hello and thank you for providing such a wonderful forum for like minded people.
I am an American national from the Columbus, Ohio area living in Israel/Palestine along the old 1967 borders. Quite literally, half of my apartment is in Israel and half of my apartment is in Palestine. For tax purposes I'll probably move in case a Palestinian government comes to power because God knows I don't make enough money to pay two countries :p
I work as a freelance photographer/journalist here to support what I do since my parents in the states are still paying for me to go to college. I also work in a falafel restaurant to supplement my income and to feed me. :p
In terms of politics I identify with Libertarian Socialism and Syndicalism more than anything else. I see the inherent flaws in government but I also recognize it as the only viable option we have at the moment. I'm also a member of the IWW.
In terms of the Palestinian/Israeli debate I have to say that I support both states in their right to exist with Jerusalem as their capitals. I see the only way for peace between these two peoples is mutual cooperation in a socialist framework, lacking the Nationalistic/Religious fervor that both sides are currently characterized by.
I'm also a lover of languages, having spent time studying Hebrew, Arabic, French, Russian, and Spanish.
I'm also a vegetarian who won't get all up in your face about it.
Thanks again,
FW
