Many great apes such as gorillas have been shown to have the intelligence of 5 year old human child and extremely complex emotions , do you think they should be considered people , and as such receive the rights that come with it?

I don't think it's that important, currently.
I don't know how to answer that question, perhaps post-revolution scientists could research the topic further, but for now, I don't know.

Even 5 year old humans don't have any meaningful rights to speak of.
Humans are the ones who have to organize and protect great ape habitats and stop any human-influenced extinction threats.

People are humans. Great Apes are not people. So the answer is no.
That is not to say that animals shouldn't be respected and given protections.
In addition, Jimmie Higgins already pointed out that 5 year-olds don't really have any meaningful rights in this society.
