How goes it everyone? I am from Lubbock, TX and I must that the leftist scene over here is basically non-existent. I have always been a staunch democrat ever since the 7th grade. Whenever I first started High School I started a Young Democrat Committee. I was always very active in local politics, and I always wanted to be involved in politics as a career. Then about three weeks ago, in my Free Enterprise class, we had to do a book report on a political text. The book I was given was The Communist Manifesto. I stared reading the book, and, I actually found alot of stuff I agreed with. So much so that by the time i finished reading it, I was already a Marxist. Then I started researching Lenin, and before long, I became a Marxist-Leninist. Needless to say I stopped organizing our schools Democrat meetings, and within a week the whole club dissolved because we didnt have a Vice President. But enough of my ramblings, I am so glad that I found this website.

Welcome to the forum. Be sure check out the learning section, it should be helpful to such a nascent comrade as yourself.

Does Kamrad mean Comrade? I thought the word was Tovarish?

Actually, if you are looking for a Russophile version of the word, exact one would be Drug.
But I'd go with whatever suits your language. Being all Moscow makes a revolutionary a dull boy.

Russophile or Slavophile? Because I know that the Yugoslavs use the word Drug instead of Tovarisch. I learnt this from that film Underground which I didn't like too much.

Ohh yeah, how do you write the 'th' sound (as in path)in Cyrillic?

Unfortunately I watched the movie before I knew there was a book.
