Anyone know anything about this organisation? I hear they were a US group along the same lines as Socialisme ou Barbarie, Solidarity (UK), and Facing Reality, etc.

Cheers in advance.

they were a libertarian marxist group influenced by Paul Mattick. in the '70s they published an anthology of their essays called "Root and Branch." I think the group included Pete Rachleff and Jeremy Brecher (author of "Strike!"). Neither of them have that kind of ultra-left politics anymore. I believe Rachleff is a member of the Socialist Party these days. This anthology included Rachleff's excellent essay "Soviets and Factory Committees in the Russian Revolution". you can find this essay online if you Google it.

an on going archive of their material

i contributed a bunch to this, and then i think others rediscovered recently a bunch of R&B materials on collective action notes…

i personally dig them a lot…(though i haven't looked at their material in a while, especially most of the new archived pieces)
