Seconded!
I'm hesitant to call "US plot" on this though. The ruling class isn't that... stupid, right?

He thinks he's Bonnie Prince Charlie or something, likely he'll achieve about the same result as "The '45".

Cubadebate's story on this is titled And It's Still Raining Misery on Haiti: Baby Doc is in Port-au-Prince. (http://www.cubadebate.cu/noticias/2011/01/16/y-siguen-lloviendo-desgracias-en-haiti-baby-doc-esta-en-puerto-principe/)
I had a teacher that told the class he believes that Haiti gets shitted on all the time because it was the first Black uprising against Whites in the Americas. This caused the Whites to hate Haiti and that hate has been passed down through generations. Also, it serves as an example to other countries showing them what will happen if you uprise against the man.

There is no doubt in my mind that if the US or France aren't behind this, then they will be very, very soon.

A lot of Haitians don't remember the guy. And his adherents are mostly pointing out "stability" as the reason.
Probably a lot of Haitians are nostalgic, because old people are just nostalgic, and the youth have never experienced Duvalier.

because the US does not wish it, but seriously he wont be killed and the scary reality is that he probably wont be charged and will most likely take up a cushy job as an advisor or possibly just live in opulence.
this however is just a small portion of what is happening in the caribbean a region which is often overlooked, poor, high illiteracy and massive corruption mixed with political tribalism. eh again the media will forget about the region and haiti again just like the earthquake that is the sad reality.
