Well, I have seen the british museum and the imperial war-museum on my last visit. (although I might want to visit the british museum again now that I know alot of that stuff). I also saw Madame Tussauds and many of the monuments (such as Trafalgars square).
I though I might want to visit the Tower but I think you got the idea. Art/history tourist am I.

Explore Soho, Shordich, Covent Garden/Seven Dials, Fitzrovia, Oldstreet, Camden Town, Clerkenwell, Holburn, The Strand,
Go to the Institute of Contemporary Art, the Tate Modern, if you want a real tourist experience go up the London Eye and look at the city, visit St. James Park,
And stay away from Oxford Street! (only permitted if you cross quickly between the north and south sides)

Solid list there, except for Camden Town and Covent Garden (tho Seven Dials area is good).
If you want to go to pubs but don't want to pay London prices for pints then this map might come in useful:

Yeah, your a bit gothic right? You should really do highgate but only if you take time to do the guided tour over the closed off Victorian bits. It's epic.
The tower can be surprisingly good..
if you go out on a drink in SoHo don't forgot to grab an pint at the admiral Duncan (gay bar that was th site of an nazi bomb attack)

Me gothic  erm no. It was just a joke as his name is NecroCommie and the thread is called NecroLondon.
I don't know why everyone likes Soho unless you are into brothels and cheap heroin.

Berwick Street has good record stores, there are some good pubs/bars and it's kind of like Paris during the spring/summer.
Plus Old Compton Street is great for people watching.

I love soho, lived there for a year (on old compton street!)
It has lots of cute stores full of random stuff and cafes (bar italia!) and bars (L.a.b.!, soho theatre bar!,), and restaurants (balans!, Maoz, Red Veg, Vitaorganic, Mildrids,) and its easy enough to stay away from the sex industry (you can, just, like, not walk into those alleys or shops).

Also main supply point point for heroin in central London, ever get a cab from your local cab office? From my view it's the sleaziest place in central London.
