Hello I am •••••••. I heard about Revleft on another forum and after some problems with registration I am finally able to join this group.

I live in Edinburgh and am a relatively recent convert to the socialist cause.

I have always held leftish views but it wasn't until I read the Communist Manifesto about 9 months ago that I really started to consider myself a Marxist. Since then I have both studied and read in my own time a variety of works by anarchists and leftists whilst studying in detail the early Soviet Union.

All in all this has made me a fan of the likes of Rosa Luxemburg, someone who despises but understands the likes of Stalin and someone whose opinion of Trotsky is rather low but not nearly as low as my opinion of the Stalinists and Maoists.

We have some general registration problems at the moment, may I ask what was your specific problem and how did you solve it?

Well when I initially registered I didn't recieve a confirmation email. I tried sending out lots of PMs to admins asking for help but no one ever replied. I even asked someone else via another forum to send a PM to a mod in case mine weren't getting through. Nothing happened. I also tried to make a few other accounts with similar names, none of which worked. Just as I was about to give up the guy I asked to help out suggested I make a new account with a very different name which worked as you can see.

ps - Any mods can feel free to delete any and all accounts starting with Tommy4ever. Those were my failed attempts to create an account.

I started out just like you, so you never know what you'll find out along the way when you start to tear down all those preconceptions (which is why you're on a communist site to begin with :thumbup1:). Research for yourself, don't let anyone tell you what to think. You be the judge is basically what I'm trying to say.
