I am new to this forum and I would like to introduce myself.

My name is not very important; nor do I wish to publicly post it on a forum. instead I would like to use hindsight20/20 as an alias.

I was born in, and currently live in, the Netherlands.

I have been a member of the socialist youth-party and the socialist party. (until they decided back in '94 to scrap Marxism as its ideological basis and instead based their entire political program on vague terminology such as solidarity).

I have also been an active member of the communist party for several years. Just like my grandparents and parents. Until I became utterly disappointed by the tendency to blindly overlook mistakes made in the past and inherrent repressive ideology within its doctrines...and to give a satisfactory answer to the question of equality and individual autonomy within a communist system and, more importantly, the road towards communism.

I have been active in the antifa protests in Berlin in '89....and have been actively participating on a non-affiliated basis in antifa protests and actions throughout Europe.

In the last few years my political views have shifted away from communism and currently tend towards anarcho-syndicalism.

The way I see it economy is the basis on which all decisions are currently being made. Both in capitalism and in communism. This overlooks the welfare and social liberty of the people as they are either tools or excuses for economic laws and directives.

I do agree with the basic intentions of communism as valid, I tend to disagree with the main focus. This is not to say they are wrong or equally wrong as capitalism (far from it)...just that I tend to focus my priority on preserving individual autonomy and liberty. Both from government and other individuals.

Thanks for your time in reading this.

Welcome, sounds like you've got some years of activism under you belt and in your blood. I look forwards to hearing what you have to say.
