I was watching a rather disturbing video recently:
u0oTlZtODok
and i was wondering what is the actual cost of putting someone through university? This guy clearly doesnt understand the basics of debt otherwise he wouldnt be claiming it to be such a free ride.
What does it cost the state to put a single person through university?
What do you think of this guys stupidity?

Dont get me wrong, i agree. Just wondering why someone would justify cutting education spending because it costs society too much.
Seems like an "anarcho-capitalist" view on education really, do others hold the view that the cost of education outweigh the benefits?

I would argue this, at least in the society we live in now. We are raised from when we are toddlers to work a job. Class is from 8am til 10:30 recess then 12:30 lunch, then your out of school at 2:30 and go home, spend your day doing homework and whatever else. But from kindergarten til however long you are taught that this is life. Work a 9-5 job, 40 hours a day for 40 years of your life. College only trains you to have a job, there are no REAL schools that teach you outside that realm, not unless you were born into a family that has the potential for some ivy league school that allows you to have a job where the money you make isn't the focus and your time is much more valuable.
It "costs" society too much because under this system, we need people to have these types of meaningless jobs and it forces people to look for a cheaper quicker route. Trade schools are a piece of shit teaching you a job and putting you deeply into debt. Same thing with 2 year schools, with the exception you have to take some classes you don't really need just so you can get more credits and the school can make more money. Shit, start cutting out of our defense budget which most republican politicians even admit we don't need and you'll find plenty of money to allow everyone to have a GOOD education.
