How many you have read Howard Zinn's , A people's history of sports? If you have , can you please tell me how it is and whether you recommend it?

It's not written by Howard Zinn but by Dave Zirin. He's paying homage to Zinn's work by using the title.

I haven't read the book myself (but I have read the book by Zinn) but I've seen his Zirin's name come up on articles on alternet, socialist worker, and counterpunch. If you're interested in some of the less known stories of sport history in the United States that have been white washed or glossed over, I suppose it could be an enlightening read. I'd suggest trying to see if a library carries it or if a second hand book store has one.
