and a note telling you that you must dedicate the next twenty years of your life to making music. What would your music sound like?
I'd try to mix the following:
- G-funk
- Southern hip hop
- Chopped and screwed beats
- minimal techno
- acid house
- post-punk
- industrial (Throbbing Gristle style, not NIN)
- Italo / cosmic disco
- Krautrock
- ambient / drone
Needless to say I'd buy a fuckload of analogue synthesizers and try to work something out. I don't know how this proposed project would sound now 'cos it seems impossible, but I'd have unlimited talent and what not so I'd find a way to work it.
What about youse?

That said, one of my favourite current musicians, Daniel Lopatin (Oneohtrix Point Never, Games, etc.), takes very similiar influences and makes it work.

If I had unlimited money, resources, and time (I'd rather just use the natural talents I have), I would probably create a really eclectic and eccentric amalgamation of everything I've ever heard, with some strong metal, industrial, noise, punk, blues, electronic (various genres) and zydeco undertones. I've always wanted to compose a piece(s) for a symphony composed entirely of various metal objects, I love the powerful sounds of metal on metal (subways, riveting, car crashes (just the sound itself of cars colliding, I'm not a sadist) ).
By the way, I plan on/am doing this regardless of the fact that I don't have unlimited money/resources/etc.

Hahaha, I'm guessing that's a reference to Metal Machine Music? Cause I mean actually utilizing metal objects themselves as instruments, not 2 hours of panned feedback :p. But that album is awesome

Metal Machine Music doesn't really contain metal objects though, does it? It's basically Reed with his guitar and a wall of amps.

Try to capture the sound of mid-90s hardcore hip-hop..gritty beats, raw lyrics, and obviously mix in some good political content.

I wouldn't really mix genres but just do different genres.
Hip-hop (all kinds too), gabber, punk, house, country, etc.
Then I might mix them. The world needs more gabberrap.

In all seriousness, I wouldn't change the music I'm making right now. If anything, i'd like to use an orchestra.

I wanna see what shoe-gaze/post-rock and math rock sound like together.

Before I found your music on that thread I imagined your stuff would sound something like Elliott Smith.

I'd like to add on to what Sam_b said. I'd want to fuse classical music and punk. There's almost a calling for the two to be together.
