We can expect another stockmarket tumble due to that and probably a double dip depression which will lead to more unemployment.
Beautful just beautiful!!!! Imagine if this depression had happened during the 60s????---we'd have a revolution by now. Instead we just take it.

MMM I'm anticipating what wikileaks will reveal about the banking system. Certainly it will lead to lots and lots of people suing them for fraud...I hope...*cross fingers*

glen beck answer; yes, buy gold
serious answer; it wont matter much unless we are talking serious buck here that you could invest in property or something. if BoA flops everybodys money takes an dive. it might even still be worth more stuck in the BoA waiting till they bail them out again than in an sock under your matras.

So what would happen to a house's mortgage that was financed from Bank of America if it were to flop?

You give the bank real property as collateral in exchange for a loan, which you use to buy said real property from its current owners, usually a land holding company, a household, or another (or even the same) bank. If you default on the loan, the bank can seize the property.
And crap. I just opened an account with them last month (long story).

note, if you actually want the BoA and the world economy to flop because you are an revolutionary of the "scorched earth" variety you should take your money out, as dramatic as possible

I am not quite sure that this next leak will really have the sort of impact some would like, if previous trends with wikileaks persist. Yes, they have released some shocking footage of the Iraq war along with a great deal of information in regards to that and Afghanistan, but it was not exactly a pentagon papers moment for the public. I think you would be hard pressed to show that any of the leaked information thus far has had any sort of dramatic effect on the publics view of the subject matter. Most of the debate surrounding the leaks is more driven towards outrage than anything else, which is disappointing, but at the same time it shows a clear enough pattern in how the leaks are portrayed in the media and through extension how they are viewed in the peoples mind.

PSYOPS NWO wikiconspiracy! But seriously, ya. Give us something we don't know already. BofA and other banks (CitiBank etc) corrupt? Who would've thought! The bastards just looted tax payers for over 13 trillion dollars. Who gives a fuck about some crooked CEO, they're all crooked.

1. BoA isn't going to fail, no matter how bad the news is.
2. Hoping for the economy to collapse is fucking stupid!

I beg to differ. Some Afghan officers and culprits were arrested for pedophilia. No one from corporate who knew was however last time I heard. I think that's a big deal to people who complain where their tax dollars go and helps stopping this type of bullshit from being funded. Plus, the story was covered very lightly by the washington post saying, and im paraphrasing, that there were strange rituals that young boys were apart of in Afghanistan, but really didn't blow it up or even mention any type of sexual reference.

Americans don't care if Afghan soldiers molest children. Sorry. I do and so do you but by in large they don't care if innocent civilians are killed, don't care if banks loot public programs....don't really care about anything wikileaks has released. The only people who care are the people who care and we're already in the know about most of this stuff.
I'm starting to lean towards the disinfo PSYOP silliness and I'm aware of how silly I sound. Trust me.

Whether they care or not, the people that will make the difference in the country do. It takes leaders in my opinion to gather the masses, and Julian Assange is on the forefront leading to some of the best(in importance wise) news we have seen this decade. Doesn't matter if the majority doesn't care right now, which is a matter of opinion and I don't really believe that anyways.
Either way, the leak, as will many others to come, will stop whatever crimes corporations are doing that are exposed.

A right wing free market capitalist is our leader? The "best news" happening now to gather the masses is the attacks on unemployment, education, healthcare, social security etc. When Julian Assange starts releasing some relevant info I'll "follow him" but not to freemarketvile.

Well hes not leading a leftist movement, but shit, transparency won't hurt our cause either. Nothing is directly putting America under the scope yet(and I hope these next leaks do),but it shows ties that America has with other countries that are doing horrific things. The thing is, corporate bosses don't really need to get their hands dirty anymore in America and can do it from far away, which leads to less relevant news to most Americans. I agree with you on that, but showing crimes of the system and showing how we are more and more controlled by corporations doesn't hurt.

We've been controlled by capitalism/capitalists as soon as the old manorial/feudal systems were swept aside. Call them corporations if you will, I call it concentrated wealth. Concentrated wealth (a minority) has controlled the majority since, well, western civilization has existed.

It'd be more beautiful if the mass of the American people started focusing on the content of the leaks rather than the mere fact that a bunch of rules have been broken in the process of the leaking.
