Ism's???

I would like to know peoples opinions on all the ism's out there, if they are part of one, do they support them, etc...

I am a liberatarian socialist, I support various other isms, capitalism not being one of them?

I find that once you start talking "isms", a lot of people say that they aren't "ideological", and that they take every issue one by one, and they're smarter than those drones of certain ideologies.

I think that's bullshit. We all have some sort of frame with which we look at society and political issues, even if we don't realize it. It's best to just be honest about your ideology than pretend you don't have one (and if you don't think you have one, chances are it's the liberal capitalism you were brought up around)

I use isms to define my thoughts and feelings as a whole. I don't allow myself to be defined by them. I think everyone here could agree Anarchist Communism is the ism that best fits me, but I do have some influence from Marxist Communism. Isms just allows us to simply and easily provide a person with our basic political views. Otherwise everyone would have to write entire books identifying the way they feel about everything.
