Happy New Year everyone!

I know i'm two days late but I was busy on NYE and New Years Day.

I went to an awesome hippie club :-) - though nothing extraordinary happened I had a great time.

How did everyone spend their New Years Eve?

Post your best/most interesting New Years Eve and post-new years eve stories here.

Why do so many people on this forum seem to assume that people here recognize New Year?

New years is a secular "holiday" so presumption of recognition is not presumption of shared religious and cultural recognitions. It doesn't imply a christian-centric (or other centric world view).

However you're quiet right in that a large portion of the worlds population celebrates Lunar New Year instead so it could have been culturally insensitive of me even while lacking any religious insensitivity.

So mea culpa!

Because whether or not you believe in it, doomsday will come on the 21st December 2012.

New Years was rather boring. Got a bit sick around 7pm, laid down, woke up around half past 11, way too late to go anywhere and feeling even worse than before.

I was at some sort of rave.
Drank a lot but didn't really feel drunk...than again I only know/feel drunk (particularly with liquor) when I'm interacting with friends.

I got high with two of my best friends I haven't seen in a while. I also met one's girlfriend and her voice was so cute!

Mine was spent underneath the covers, staying warm and having fun under the covers. (While also drinking heavily, don't forget that New Years booze!)

Drank some Kaluah Especial with friends in Serbia that i haven't chilled with in forever. Nothing special, but it was too fucking cold and foggy to do anything else. Newyears where i live sucks, im glad i wasn't there.

I... um... greeted the new year with my fiance. Before and after that we both hung out with some of my friends. We all drank and I smoked weed. that's about it.

Already said elsewhere, but I was at some friends place and had some beers and some sparkling wine. And passed out before midnight.

I got off work around noon, came back to my place, cooked, worked out, posted on here while watching two things, talked to some people on the phone, wrote, went to sleep at 8pm (I think) so that I could get up and go to work threer hours into the new year.

Got really drunk, went to some warehouse dance party a few blocks from where I live, pissing in trash cans, random hook ups, cops busting in, ya know, all that fun stuff.

Literally within 30 seconds of getting there my friend was hooking up with some random girl who was rolling, though she was a wee bit on the unattractive side.

I got to utilize the pickup line "I've had my tonsils removed 4 times you know." Works like a charm :thumbup1:

My friend got incredibly belligerently drunk and stole about 10 beers from the bar and about 6 jackets lying haphazardly on the floor. He then passed out in a seated position in my kitchen when we got back for a few hours before he had to leave at 10... nice life.

Left a hickey on someone who said she had a boyfriend... yiiiiikes

Ate some rockin food and went to bed around 6:30, all in all a fun night.

Spent it with friends and family (I'm with the band) on NYE. Recooped on the 1st, birthday is today, takes about a week to get through Bday festivities, everyone wants to take me out to eat, so maybe sometime next week it will be over. :)
