Books on the Ireland Conflict

I'll begin with a confession. I know almost nothing of the conflict in Ireland. It's a hodgepodge of information, with the British and the IRA, the Catholics and the Protestants, etc. I'm very confused.

Could anyone recomend a good introductory book on the subject? Preferable not some thick tome, but enough information to get me started.
