The Bolivarian idea is the earliest anti-imperialist thought originally stated in his Letter of Jamaica in 1817. The Union of the Peoples of Our América was the only means to confront the ruling role of the "northern colosus" (as Bolívar called the USA) and the fate of "being filled with miseries in the name of liberty" (as Bolívar thoght the USA's intervention in América would bring on).
