Anybody into this stuff? You know like, raw denim, LE colorway shoes, urban designer clothes?
Bailey I called you out in the title cause you seem like the kind of guy who's into this stuff.
Anyways, I just ordered some naked and famous raws.

That's exactly the kind of stuff I was talking about. (but it doesn't make sense for me to get it shipped from the UK to the states) But yeah, those kind of brands and shit.
I'm hoping to get a pair of supras soon, check out www.plndr.com (http://www.plndr.com) you gotta register (its free) and they sell of old stock from www.karmaloop.com (http://www.karmaloop.com), supras are supposed to go on sale some time today.

I like it. But all the really good stores for these kind of clothes are all the way in Amsterdam.
There are a few stores like New Yorker and Funkie House who have cool shirts and hoodies.

Heh, I found that site about an hour ago while looking for caps.
I've got some Nikes that look like Supras but they're all dirty from the snow and look shit now.
Cheers for the links.

28th December 2010, 16:09
Yeah I have a pair of Nikes that look supra-ish, still not sure if I really want supras or just somemore nike hightops, I usually wear vans or air maxs.
I could definitely use another snap back or two though.

Is anyone really crazy enough to pay £32(!) for a t shirt?
Yes. My roommate in college claimed that he never spent less than 30-40 dollars on a shirt. He spent a lot of money on clothes.

sup bruh, thanks for the shout out
yeah i wear this stuff sometimes
alot the time tho i wear the cheap versions of similar clothes to these brands make e.g. cheap pair of chinos rather than spending dumb money on alife or The Hundreds ones or some shit and only get like an occasional hoody or hat by these brands
i usualy get my clothes from this shop in london called Mash http://www.mashclothing.com/. They have a good sales section instore which i usualy buy from. and the people in there are cool and give me discount sometimes.

I probably spend like 30 or 40 on a tee, a lot of the designers are from the states though, so that's why the euro prices are a bit higher.

Is anyone really crazy enough to pay £32(!) for a t shirt?
i dont get why people spend this much on a tshirt, which most the time will be coverd by a hoody, sweatshirt, shirt or something
most my tees are plain in the colour i want matching my hat or shoes or whatever, usualy looks better than some overpriced tee with a shit design

I usually buy tshirts with no logo/design, some American Apparel (usually), from a third party vendor online and spend between 10-20$. Somtimes I get them 2-3 packs for good prices.
However,
i usualy get my clothes from this shop in london called Mash http://www.mashclothing.com/ (http://www.anonym.to/?http://www.mashclothing.com/). I sometimes buy clothes (particularly T-shirts) of this style/kind (plus similar) and pay maybe less than 25$
Jeans I just try to get something cheap yet good fit/style/whatever.
For other kinds of shirts, I rarely buy any other kind outside of tees; although I would but I always get a feeling that tshirts easily more or less suit me while other shirts I always feel make me look bad...it's like I never found the right shirt/dress shirt/whatever.
thanks for the link (if they ship to the US that is...)

if ur in the US i wouldn't bother with Mash, its generally more expensive than on US sites e.g The Hundreds stuff on Mash is pretty much the exact same number in £'s as on the The Hundreds site in $'s

American Apparel is unjustifiably expensive in Britain, but I guess it's pretty cheap in America 'cos my uncle has sent me over a number of AA tees and he's pretty broke.
You can tell AA have hit the wall though, the shit they are selling now.

I never liked Stussy in general. The converse is that I've very rarely seen anything in Upper Playground I didn't like; I've bought maybe four shirts and two jackets from them. (Don't think they have jeans, though, at least not the one in Portland.)

I just buy their plain tees, and not from them directly.
Everything else they make, I don't care for.
I'm not a fan of AA per se.
Although I rarely buy clothes...so I'm probably no good in all this fashion stuff. Sometimes I suspect that my everyday clothes and all are lackluster.
Perhaps it's because I'm too broke.

I love raw denim, although I don't own much. I'm considering purchasing a pair of Momotaro (http://blueingreensoho.com/site/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&manufacturer_id=42&Itemid=28) or Pure Blue Japan's (http://blueingreensoho.com/site/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&manufacturer_id=9&Itemid=28&vmcchk=1) but I'll probably hold off on that until I get my student debt paid off.
Considering getting some Nudie (http://www.nudiejeans.com/start)'s as well for a work/roughing around pair but I'm apprehensive because of their history of crotch blowouts. :(
Oh and BTW Supra's are alright but they just look cheap close up IMO, not that most people would probably notice aside from me. I'd rather invest in a more expensive, but longer lasting and better looking, pair.
Is anyone really crazy enough to pay £32(!) for a t shirt?
That's not that expensive, in terms of fashion.
You can tell AA have hit the wall though, the shit they are selling now.
They're good for basics but not much else.

Wandered around the mall yesterday, no supras I liked enough to drop that much money on, tried to find a pair of plain black air maxes, but couldn't. I need some all black shoes cause somebody told me the naked and famous jeans bleed really bad, so I don't want my shoes to get wrecked. Might just have to rock them with my vans though.
My girl got me some obey gear for christmas, its a little played out and everything, but some designs are cool and they sell it at her store so she gets a discount.

I can't comment on N&F but if they do indeed leak you can soak them to remedy some of that. I'd recommend wearing some darker/cheaper shoes for a bit until they're broken in. Or if you're a psycho then just soak them at home and wear them around the house/to bed until they stop. Then your shoes will be safe.
Or just don't get N&F.

I wear dress shirts and slacks from Sears. Costs less than what I'd pay for jeans and that other stuff and looks smart as shit.

I don't really get the Supra thing either - I love high tops á la Dunk AC's and similar kicks, but with Supra's I think it's mostly just because Drake & Bieber wear them. The closest thing I've got to Supra's is probably a pair of Clae Khan's.
Withstanding everything else in this thread, best shoes ever: Alife chuck navals.

I wear Addidas Sambas with purple stripes. I like purple, but not exactly purple shirts or pants...more as in purple accessories (I have purple ray-ban knock-offs with mirrored lenses).
I wish I dressed "sharper" but than again it probably doens't mean anything.

I like casual style quite a bit. I was a skinhead for a few years in my late teens/early twenties, I notice that there is kind of starting to be a revival in the sharper elements of skinhead style, I see more people around in ben sherman and brogues with a harrington jacket lately. Probably related to the resurgence in preppy/ivy league style.
I have a friend who's very into the prep thing and we were talking about my having been a skin (he didn't know me then) and I showed him some of my old clothes, merc and ben button downs, harrington jackets, oxblood 3is, he was pretty into it. His impression of skinheads was just bleached jeans and bomber jackets.

It depends on the top. If it was something that looked awesome and I'd wear it a lot, then I would spend that if I had the money. I don't buy clothes that often though, so I prefer to buy one thing that looks good than several things that I'm not fussed about.

One of my friends once paid over $100 for a Bad Brains hoodie just cause it was a Supreme one. I dunno, I don't really get it, but to each their own. Some of that streetwear type stuff is pretty cool though, particularly the shoes.

I do own a couple of clothes that could be lumped into that category. I used to be a lot into Volcom, k1X, Hurley and Billabong clothes, and I do also own some WESC, Southpole, LRG, etc. stuff.
As far as shoes goes, these two types are prolly the favorites of all the shoes I've possessed:

I buy cheap ass clothes as I'm a poor student. I got some DM boots for a tenner in Brick Lane, and some Levi jeans for a fiver in a charity shop, and other clothes that look pricey but cost fuck all in comparison to what they would cost on the highstreet.
I'd try to not spend more than ten quid on an item of clothing where I could help it.

Volcom
I used to, and probably still do, buy from this label.
