This is a major step forward and definately positive, your not gonna hear much about this in the mainstream media, but this is great, the prison system in the United States is barberic and inhuman and things like this to dismantled the system need to be done.

This is kind of old news but still very relevant for the prison liberation movement.

The prison system in Ireland is just as bad. Remind me to post a link to IR.net and an article by a former prisoner about his treatment at the hands of the UVF run POA!

In the 26 counties we have the special criminal courts.

You can be thrown away for 8 years on the "hunch" of a Free State Pig that you belong to an "illegal orgnanization"....Only won guy has won his liberty after a long appeal from them....So they have a 99 per cent conviction rate. Meanwhile Free State pigs allow druggie scum to terrorize working class estates.

Jeez, I did'nt know things were that bad in Ireland. Aparently its not JUST the US in need of serious anti-prison system struggles.

As a matter of interest, what is the stance of the RevLeft on the death penalty - are their any crimes which should be punishable by death?

I actually saw that show on RU. It seems that the Leftist message DOES come across pretty easily to the American public.
