It is a very - dare I say it - spiritual place... From what I recall, you do the museum tour which has Che's various personal effects; pipe's, beret's his Mate gourd and bombadillo, his leather jacket various book's etc..

Then you go deep into the building into a grotto of sorts where the remains are kept, the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. I remember candles, running water and the faces of those who fell inscribed into the walls.... It was very emotional.
I'ts in Santa Clara where Che's decisive and pivitol de-railment of a military train took place, They even had models of the battles that took place in the area... I want to go to Bolivia to see the actual room where he was executed, not out of morbid fascination but to pay my respects...

Danton

Do you have to pay to visit this museum?

I'm sure ordinary Cubans don't but as a tourist yes, though I can't recall the price I'm sure it's not much and to be able to pay homage is worth more than money can buy.... Again as with other goverment buildings and military installations photo's or videoing are striclty not allowed inside....
