I want to wish everybody a merry christmas, and remember the reason for the season, the birth of christ. One day you'll get it.

"If you don't sin, Jesus died for nothing."
Hope y'all had a happy Hanukah, and have a merry Christmas, an awesome Kwanzaa, drunk new year, lovely valentines day, the most epicz May Day, and a rockin' Cinco de Mayo.
None of these really matter though except one.

I'm counting four that "really matter," three of them with important cultural significance, especially Kwanzaa.

I know this, but it's still the origin behind Christmas.

This Christmas sucks, I bought a new copy of Battlefield 2 so I could download and play Project Reality again, but no. It tells me my CD key is wrong, despite it being a brand new copy of BF2.
Fuck EA, fuck Christmas, fuck Jesus.

Aye, got'cha. A few years ago in class my final speech was how the origins and traditions of all major Christian holidays were just ripped off the Pagan beliefs and rituals of the time. I think I pissed off a few devout Christians, lulz. SHATTERING DREAMS SINCE '89

I've had the same problem, EA are the worst company in history and their live support was terrible too. Did you buy it on CD or from Steam?

Time for a quick game of 'before they were famous':

try this comrades: download "bfkeychanger" (google it, its on mediafire, no viruses or anything) and then run it, type in your cd key for bf2, hit change. see if that works.

Serious question - does Kwanzaa have important cultural significance? I know no one who celebrates it.

Fuck the holidays. Christmas tops the list. It's just a marketing ploy by firms to sell, sell, sell.
And of course, things aren't looking so hot this year as no one has disposable income to buy trivial things. The advertising has been more focused on the purchase of new cars. Yeah, like we need more of those...

Bought it on CD, i've sorted it out. They were bastards when I rung them up, had no choice but to buy another copy.
2nd hand, for £2....with a working cd key xD

Yes, of course it has important cultural significance. It represents the efforts of Africans in the diaspora, especially African-Americans, to reconnect with Africa and the culture and sense of self-worth that was stripped of them by European slaving and colonialism.
You might make some critiques of cultural nationalism (and Kwanzaa, by extension), as Angela Davis does, but she recognizes its importance for self-confidence and community empowerment.
