It's also against Antifa...
Which made me lol, an organisation that claims it hates fascists too, but also hates anti-fascists.

Political bipolar, or political schizophrenia, I don't know.

people can bellitle this online all they want but tbh this dont seem good

when the EDL is trying to attack Muslims there is a sizeable response from Muslim communities and the EDL often gets a beating

but tbh most the left (the Anarchists seem like they can tbh) i met arent built for that and i cant imagine many holding it up against the EDL on their own

It's also pathetic because the revolutionary left right now is pathetic.

I don't know, I'm a member of the Communist Party of genstrike, and while our membership may be small, our internal discussions are quite lively.

I completely agree, however I wanted to spread the word around first, I'd rather be able to tackle the group as they're starting rather than waiting till they have some numbers so we can then begin action.

lol, 1 member. Seems they've successfully united everyone who's genuinely opposed to the goal of equality :)

Lol, he's saying the Communist Party of genstrike(his name) which seems to imply he's saying he's the only one in it.

My question is, is this actually serious. Like is this an actual front for the EDL or is it some guy who thought it would be a good idea for the EDL until nobody showed up for the party.

hopefully the latter

however the EDL has said they are going to start showing up to oppose students and "communist scum" at the next tuition fees protests

A forum with one member is neither the 'EDL' nor is it a 'front'.

This is a great idea if you want to get the forum members and give it a leg up.

Which makes me wonder, what is the social base for the glorious organization called EDL? And how do they justify their opposition to the anti-cuts movement (a part of it being the fight against tuition fees) within the context of their original "purpose" - to defend "English" valčues and culture from Muslim and other "attackers"? Would they really argue that providing a more favourable business climate for capitalists is an integral part of "English" values and culture?
or are they just idiots who perceive any kind of social struggle against the worst this system has to offer as "communist" and "anti-English"?

The fact that the student protests took the left's attention away from the EDL for five minutes is justification enough for them.

Anyway I think 'pathetic' is the key word here, I can't see it amounting to much.

I think from an ordinary member's point of view (the leadership are probably in favour of all the cuts, cept maybe the police and military cuts) they probably see students as lazy and undeserving of support. Most likely their propaganda portrays students as the competition for public money that might otherwise be invested in not cutting housing benefit etc. The slights against symbols of British nationalism like the monarchy or Churchill are probably part of it too

I googled the phrase and didn't find anything from the EDL or other fascist groups but I did find this gem of a tea party site. So far the most hilarious are the "Glenn Beck" and "Liberals/Progressives" pages.
