dear comrades
I've finally managed to make my little donation to the "resitance songs" of Palestine: Hazayan al hobb wal hurreyyah -means: Hallucination of Love and Freedom-.
This website is mainly an effort to save a HUGE legacy of revolutionary, humanitarian, and progressive music in palestine.
This kind of music is vanishing everyday, no one cares for archeiving it, and lots of songs that used to play a major roll during the Palestinian Intifada during the late eighties and early ninties in stirring up the Intifada, are lost now!
Because those songs are a part of the Humanitarian Collective memory, because lots of martyrs have died following dreams that music led them to, for the sake of all those who were imprisoned and tortured for writing, singing, or even: listening to those songs.
I present you my "hallucination" and need your help to keep the flame ignitted:
I'm intending to archive revolutionary and progressive songs, to introduce them to the arab world, I'm looking fo any kind of help: website adresses, vocal files of the songs, If there are translations of the songs It would be appreciated.
there are 100 million arab speakers in this world, most of the arab masses is alienated from the internationalist and progressive scene, maybe by obtaining such a window, such a hole in the thick walls would make a little diffrence, maybe this will lead more people to reject theological fundementalism, and fight for what really matters : the Human happiness, for the justice and freedom.
hope you could help me in my effort
