John lee Hooker - "Crawling king snake"
Morrison does a pretty fair cover, but, chances are, you knew that already. I think "L.A. Woman" is my favorite-Most Blues Songs. "Back Door Man" is well executed too, however. Hooker was awesome. "Mojo Hand" and its importance cannot be understated

Jefferson Airplane- Summer of Love
Do you mean their pop-rock hit "Somebody To Love," from "Surrealistic Pillow?" If so, 3/5 of a mile in 10 seconds is 30x better!
the live album "Bless Its Pointed Head" is great-really showcases Slick's voice

The creator has a masterplan - Pharoah Sanders

Once again, I could type all night and not have enough to say about this song. It means so much to me- 30 minutes of sheer excellence. It makes up most of Karma (along with Colors, which is nice), which I place as one of the 5 best jazz albums of all time (above any Miles Davis-even my fav. *****es Brew) solely because of the beauty of Pharoah and Leon Thomas on this track. Trust a hard-edged Atheist: Those stuck between god and the void that I follow should never listen to this album. I probably beleive in God now, all because of this album. This and A Love Supreme.
When the African Orthodox Church Made Coltrane a saint, I almost joined right away. Then my assinine reason set it. I am telling you all to listen to "The Creator Has A Masterplan." It will bring happiness to every man. Christ, what a tune.
