I'm 17, I got interested in radical politics a little over a year ago, and have gotten progressively more passionate ever since. I am currently undecided on a specific branch, I want to do more reading on all of them before I make a decision. I am a Marxist, so most interested in Marxist-Leninism and Trotskyism, but I am open to other sects of Marxism and Anarchism.
Being from Kentucky, I'm knee deep in reactionary culture every day at school, nationalism and racism in particular. I am unaware of any left organization we may have, or even if any others exist. The Tea Party is big here. I find it difficult to remain civil.
I guess I'll use this as a chance to get recommended reading. I have three books so far, "Accumulation of Capital" by Rosa Luxemburg, "Fascism: What It Is and How to Fight It" by Leon Trotsky, and "The Motorcycle Diaries: Notes On a Latin American Journey" by Che Guevara. I am going to read Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels' principle works as soon as possible, so try to make recommendations outside of those.
