Make that Anglo-American-Australian-Polish terrorism. There are some Polish troops in Iraq for some reason or other, I believe.

Allot of nations were in Iraq. The Polish sent their elite forces during the campaign (they secured some oil wells too :D )
Anyway, these kinds of actions are normal after a war. Remember the problems the Russians had after WW2? We will eventually declare Martial Law )which we should have done in the first place) and take care of business. But we don’t because the world community will say "look at those Fascists".

Didn't they say the Iraqis would submit, not fight against the empire builders?
You're losing a soldier a day to Iraqi guerillas.
Face it, the Iraqis don't like you being there.

Of course not; those lower class, uncivilised scum are beneath the contempt of rational members of the ruling elite, I'm sure.
Why do you think your leaders have sent people there?

Well, considering Afghanistan economy grew %30 since we have been there I'd say there are some nice prospects for Iraq. Their own oil will make them rich as hell.

Putting aside the difficulties of gathering meaningful economic statistics in a country like Afghanistan, what plant is that country now growing as much of as it can for export to the west? (Hint: it ain't cabbages.)
[Iraq's] own oil will make them rich as hell.
No, it won't. The Iraqis won't see 10 cents on the dollar and you know that. The oil companies will get the rest...and you know that.
What you don't know is if there will ever be a barrel of oil exported from occupied Iraq...the resistance can blow-up the pipelines indefinitely.
And they should!

WTF? Are you refering to the UK's imigration policy or what? I give up trying to make sense of the terminaly stupid.
I suggest you keep your foolish and xenophobic steriotypes to your self, instead of making your self, nobody wants to hear it.
Now are you going to stop being a pussy and face up to your remarks or are you going to show to everybody what an idiot you really are?

Colonel Blimp
NOUN: Chiefly British A pompous, reactionary, ultranationalistic person.
ETYMOLOGY: After Colonel Blimp, a cartoon character created by Sir David Low (1891-1963), British political cartoonist.

Another problem...was the use of the word 'wog' as a British racist term for Indians and Arabs. Though the golliwog obviously represents a negro, 'wog' was never used for West Indian immigrants in the UK, for whom American racist words were borrowed. There is a well-known phrase 'wogs begin at Calais' which pokes fun at British xenophobia, the earliest mention of this comes from the House of Commons in 1945:
"During a debate in which the subject of the Burmese came up, the volatile George Wigg shouted at the Tory benches, 'The Honourable Gentleman and his friends think they are all "wogs". Indeed, the Right Honourable Member for Woodford [Churchill] thinks that the "wogs" begin at Calais."

Don't you find it interesting Loknar that "food for oil" distribution centres were already mapped out before the invasion even began. It looks as though somebody had the foresight for money, not for the people. Pull your head out of your ass or whatever hole it's stuck in. The countries involved have a "road map" alright and it has nothing to do with liberation. Does the word nabob mean anything to you?
Loknar
25th August 2003, 05:54
I don’t deny that we went in for economic reasons as well as national security reasons. Would you rather Saddam continue to cause 40,000 people per year to disappear? Look at how many mass graves we've already found. History will be our judge, do you think 200 years from know the invasion of Iraq will be remembered as a 'crusade for oil'? No, it will be remembered as a move by the US in the interests of their own national security and we will be praised for freeing the people of Iraq from Saddam. Well I take that back, the Vietnamese aren’t ever praised by history for freeing Cambodia from Pol Pot.

I seriously doubt anyone from this board will be around 200 years from now and say, 'Bless my cotton socks, Loknar was right!'
That's why we're protesting, you nugget.
It's happening in our lifetime, and if we don't admonish such atrocities now, don't you think we might as well curl up and die or something, so that 200 hundred years from now, the people will say, 'Oh look it wasn't that bad, nobody said anything bad about it at all.'

Atrocities? You are speaking as if America is like Nazi Germany. All I hear is complaints about this war here in this forum, among friends and on the news. People are speaking freely all over the place concerning our actions.
And in all of my studying I don’t think a known mass murderer had so much support from so many even in the free world.

Ah, maybe it was my misuse of the word "atrocity", was it? :o
Let's try something else, then:
"I seriously doubt anyone from this board will be around 200 years from now and say, 'Bless my cotton socks, Loknar was right!'
That's why we're protesting, you nugget.
It's happening in our lifetime, and if we don't admonish such heinousness now, don't you think we might as well curl up and die or something, so that 200 hundred years from now, the people will say, 'Oh look it wasn't that bad, nobody said anything bad about it at all."
There you go. Now you don't sound like Nazi Germany anymore.

Haven't studied much, then, have you, mate?
I have studied allot. The difference in this case is that EVERYONE knows what Saddam did, there is well documented footage of the chemical attacks (very gruesome pictures, I recommend you look up “bloody Friday“ http://www.kdp.pp.se/chemical.html ), the free world nor the population of Germany knew what Hitler was doing to the Jews, in fact the usual person had every reason to like the man. The same with Stalin, could the average Russian peasant imagine 10-30M dead because of him? No, they liked him because he gave them jobs.
Fine with me, you're certainly entitled to your opinion.
suffianr
25th August 2003, 17:20
Ah, Loknar. You don't get it, do you?
The criticism of the American-led invasion and the grand maskirovka prior to that, isn't in support of Saddam. No need to compare with Stalin, thank you for doing so anyway, but I am not sympathetic to Saddam Hussein. I'm sorry if you thought I had a thing for war criminals, I don't.
Let's just say that I'd hate Saddam if I was an Iraqi as much as I would hate my own leaders if they pulled that sort of crap in front of me. But it's not about that. What it's about, if you've been ignoring the news in the last six months, is that your government hoodwinked the UN and the rest of us, well, the gullible ones at least, into believing they had a righteous moral cause for sending ther troops into Iraq. That 'Saddam' could not have been stopped by any other means i.e. you bagged Milosevic eventually without invading his hometown, didn't you?
It's about crippling sanctions that de-populated Iraq as much as Saddam would have wanted to. It's about not finding those weapons of mass destruction. And the increasing number of young men your governments are flying home in body bags.
Yes, everyone knows about Saddam. And everyone knows why he had to be stopped. And most of us are relieved that he was. But shocked, we are, by the ways in which it was done and the lies it took to accomplish it.
Loknar
25th August 2003, 23:40
Well believe me there are some that are that Saddam is gone. Michael Moore for example wrote an e-mail that was read over the radio and he stated that he was saddened that Saddam is gone. And I remember listening to a Liberal talk show where I live and this genius called up and basically claims that Saddam never ordered the chemical attacks and that he was a "good guy". I know you don’t support the man but I just cant believe the amount of people who do.
I am listening to what you say, I do at times wonder if we did the right thing. While I do have some doubt I still am convinced we did the right thing. For me, Saddam's ousting from power was enough to start this war.

Ahhh. the sheep mentality. If everyone's doing it, it must be right.
Why not put it on a referendum vote for the people for Iraq and let them decide if they want a pipeline of oil to Israel. That is of course if they really have "freedom" like the U$ promised. Of course that will never happen because they would vote no and everyone knows that.

No, don't you see, the US is actually strengthening bilateral ties between the two embittered nations by the sale of oil to Israel. Iraq and Israel will "share" the economic and social benefits that arise from this venture, and before you know it, there'll be peace in our time.
