This dude did too much acid and then discovered God, as they all do. He wrote all these weird songs about Jesus and loneliness while locked in his basement with only his guitar for company. I don't know if any of that's actually true but the story works pretty well. I feel a certain detachment listening to Bixby's music, and a very real fear that I too may become an acid fried freak with only a guitar for company.

I imagine this is what it sounds like to stand outside a party you're not invited to in a dodgy part of town. It's starting to rain and you're slightly inebriated, smoking a cigarette and thinking about someone you love. You should probably go home, but for the sake of the story you don't have one, and you're quite content with just wallowing there for a while. Creepy.

I don't think I need to make up a story to convey just how scary this song is; it's an audial sucide note, drenched in dread and regret.

Throbbing Gristle just wallow in utter grimness, complete dirt. You can't help but feel you're listening to something that you shouldn't be, like a musical snuff film. In many ways their music is more nauseating than it is scary, but it's certainly always creepy.

Like the Joy Division song I think the terror invoked by this piece of music needs very little explanation. Like TG there's something very voyeuristic about it, and then there is the threatening (and prophetic, both members of COIL are now dead) ending.
