There aren't many good musicians/bands from Tampa, at least that I know of. I know there is a decent metal scene, but you asked for 'good' bands, and I'd be lying if I said I liked any of them. I know a few local bands and they're pretty decent. A couple guys I knew in high school have a band called Tomatoes and Radio Wire. They're pretty good. Also, Zeekloid, The Queers? Really? *Jealous*

Yeah, they're the most famous band from around here (their town is like 10 minutes from me). It makes it so they come around here at the ends of their tours, which is sick. I've seen them once and I think I am again in January. Southern New Hampshire has a pretty good pop-punk scene.

Now I'm really jealous.
[slightly off topic] But tampa does have some good concerts though. This fall was especially good with Matt and Kim, Vampire Weekend, and The Flamming lips all coming through. I only got to go to the Vampire Weekend concert (which was great btw), and The Flamming Lips came to Janus the next night and I (quite sadly) couldn't go. I'm looking forward to the of Montreal concert on the 15th of jan. It should be epic.:thumbup1:

This is probably one of the few good bands to come out of my city.

Also there's my cousins band which are basically the celebrities in the bar scene. He's the one that looks like Meatloaf.
