I always have very vivid dreams, and I usually remember them, but this one I forgot almost as soon as I woke up. All I remember is being near Kyoto, somewhere in the area around Kurama. I was with some friends and I think we were planning to go to Lake Biwa. Somebody was. But that was at the very end, just before I woke up.

Final destination? Lol. When I do remember dreams they are significant for example on two occassions I have had a dream which makes me paranoid about reality for about a week, I can't tell if I'm dreaming or 'real lifing' because I felt things in the dream like someone slapping me.

I've supplementing my zinc and magnesium levels over the last week with ZMA. It gives you some pretty deep sleep and some pretty vivid dreams. I've been having atleast 2 seperate dreams a night. A few nights ago I managed to have four seperate dreams.
EDIT: Explaining dreams is too hard in writing. Suffice it to say last night's involved a unisex toilet with a chesty korean chick in the nude and me being inside a lego video game with zombies trying to bash down my door while I'm trying to fight them off with an aerosol can...

I had a freaky dream like two weeks ago that I was having my wedding while lost in a supermaket. Here comes the bride was playing over the loud speakers and some lady claiming to be a wedding planner was trying to convince me that I should wear a tux instead of the wedding dress that I was wearing and I was running from her.

I had a fairly interesting dream about a lab tech working for a slightly psychotic seeming scientist who was attempting to create a virus primarily because he could, he intended to sell it (to whom it didn't matter: "governments, terrorists or whatever" as I believe he articulated) in order to continue doing similar research. The lab tech had an interesting point of view on this scientist, she at first was just doing a job, then shouted him down for being an amoral dickhead. In the middle of this there was a brief interlude where I appeared, I was older and had a family with whom I was having a waterfight, kayl turned up as well but she was no older. The focus then switched back to the scientist and lab tech, I believe the scientist had abandoned his previous project and was now working in a much more theoretical capacity as the two had resolved their conflict and appeared to be friends; indeed I learned a fair bit about the lab tech from her conversations with the scientist including her relationship with her mother who had been paralysed when she (the lab tech) was still a teenager and had died just after her 21st birthday. I then woke up.
Prior to that I had a dream about getting drunk, train stations and being given kebabs in a solicitors office but I don't remember much of that as I was woken up by a text that kind of came to the forefront of my mind.

So last night I went to a party, got drunk, and crashed at the house because I didn't want to drive home. They set me up in a nice bed and all, I was very comfortable, and fell asleep in no time. Anyway, I had this dream that I was about to go home, and one of the people that lived in the house was telling me I owed them $300 for staying there and drinking the beer from the keg. And then I started thinking that I didn't want trouble, so I was going to pay them (not sure how) even though I thought the whole thing was bullshit. I woke up very relieved it was just a dream.

Recently, I dreamt about me being in bed, surrounded by bugs and getting really pissed off about it. For the last two night, I have been dreaming that I was with a beautiful woman (different women in both dreams) and having great sex but being interrupted by their fathers.
What's even weirder is that, in the first of the sex dreams, Harry Enfield made a cameo appearance as the woman's father. I think I need help.

I decided to eat the blue one. It has gone all old and when I was about to swallow it I realised that jelly beans are full of sugar (read: carbs) and started freaking out. I dreamt that I was a cyborg/robot anime-maid with psychic powers who was investigating something with a friend.
We discovered that this crazy scientist(?) was planing to do something incredible destructive that would kill loads of people (there was some colossal missiles/industrial thing in a wasteland). We decided that I would go back to the city(?) we were from to warn every one/get help (we seemed to be out or radio range) and my friend would stay and try to delay/stop things.
I flew back over what looked like the world map from a game like final fantasy 7. when i got there the city the city seemed to be like the london underground and loads of people were retreating deeper underground directed by soldiers, they wanted me to go to, but i ignored them and went a different way.
Then my friend turned up, she'd been hacked and was under the control of the evil guy. She is just a robot replica and i kill her quick using my psychic powers, but then when I am going to look at her another one turns up and attacks me while my shield is down and the last thing i remember is looking up at her from the train tracks.
Then i am in the the distant past and am male. I think i have to prevent something from happening, so I take off and fly across the world again, which still looks like the world map from ff7, but now the continents are shaped like the ones on earth, and then when I find the place I need to go I wake up.

Two of my friends, who are in a relationship btw., stroll around, I'm around too. He's wearing a weird toga-like dress, all shiny, and smoking a cigarette. Since he doesn't smoke (neither does he drink) and does not wear weird stuff (weird in the sense of highly unusual, unprobable, and very hard to encounter), I ask him what's up with that. He shrugs and points in her direction. She smiles innocently.

I had 4 dreams tonight. Well, technically it was 3. The latter was a two-part zombie apocolypse saga. Part one was the night of the outbreak, army crawling all over the place, me and my parents trying to get out of the house but failing to get further than the top of the driveway because of the patrols. Second part was the morning after. Patrols had disappeared and my parents had abandoned me in the house and taken the car. Miraculously my best friend and two random guys I used to know from high school turned up in a SUV. We got inside my house and cleaned it out, loaded it up with supplies. Plan was to go bush, head out Campbelltown way and camp. I love sleeping now :)

I dreamt of my mistakes and misgivings, of lost opportunities and lost love.
There's one dream I've not yet finished. It involves me running from a large golden retriever that nips at my heels but never runs me down. I always end up outrunning it by a few houses (it's set in some suburb with trees hanging over the street in summer.) and then turning around and it jumping at me. It never hits me or anything, it just jumps and I wake up, occasionally screaming, occasionally crying. Sometimes I don't wake up at all, it just cuts out.

Sometimes, I dream about being someone else than myself. When I was little, I dreamt that I was someone who felt an extreme regret and anxiety of having killed his own mother. Some years ago, I used to dream that I was an Arab boy listening to Hiphop and dreaming of becoming a boxer who was reading some kind of industrial programme at high school.
This night, I dreamt of being someone who had inherited a fortune. The dream was the most elaborate yet, since I dreamt it in many stages. First when I inherited the fortune, I got into conflict with another claimant, whom I at the end killed. Then I sat on the garden of a giant countryside mansion and complained about ants beneath the wooden porch, a beautiful summer's day.
I had started a private school and started to work as one of it's principals. Then I saw that one of the girls had taken in a few punks who sat around a table in the corridor and played some kind of card RPG. I became so angry so I dragged out one of them and turned his wrist around so he was forced to kneel, and I did not allow him to go before he kissed my boot. One of the others, I slapped in the face so bad he started to bleed from his nose.
All of them ran away from the school, forgotting their stuff. So I ordered the girl who had taken them into the school (where they weren't students) to follow after them with their stuff and deliver it back, as a punishment for having taken them into the school in the first place.
At the end, I was surrounded by a group of gangsters or something and then the dream cut.
Summary: I was a horrible, horrible fascist tonight. :(

I dreamt I went to the pub but all they had on tap was London Pride. It didn't matter too much anyway as I hated everyone there, so left fairly early only to go to another pub. There it was much more enjoyable and I was with people I actually like. I ended up playing a Warhammer 40,000 derived skirmish game (Necromunda for those who know anything about the hobby) with, quite fantastically, all the models of both myself and my opponent being totally true to life. My dream was largely taken up with this and trips from the gaming table to the bar; every time I got to the bar I thought I had run out of money but I'd always have enough to cover the drink or else the barman/woman (I was served by different people at different times) would cover me - that was quite cool.
I had other dreams, I dreamt I was at a funeral that served disgusting snacks (although one mourner protested the idea of snacks at a funeral entirely) and the last few involved technocracy so I needn't go into detail there.

I dreamt about the apocalypse last night...
Me, my girlfriend & my bro were at school. A teacher came in and said scientists proved that the apocalypse was gonna happen sometime in the next couple days, so everyone started freaking out. We went to my moms house to tell her & she was all cool with it 'Yeah cool I'm going to heaven' nonsense. So we decided to try to find a way to live through it, we got a bunch of people and went to an underground parking garage. Later that night I peeked out to see what was happening and the sun & the moon were out at the same time, and the sun was so hot it was melting the moon. Anyway the next day we all went out to get food & whatnot while we were walking past a lake someone screamed that it was almost noon, and we were all gonna die. And I remember that it was deathly hot out. As we looked across the lake we saw a wave of fire coming over it, so we backed away and but it died as it reached the shore. Then some guy started screaming, I looked over at him and his eyes were burning out of his head, so we ran back to the underground garage and then I woke up.

I had a very unusual dream last night. Unique, even, in that it was influenced by a taste. My dreams are influenced by light levels, sounds, etc., as much as anyone else's, but this is the first time mine have been influenced by a taste, that I'm aware.
I dropped off to sleep while I was reading Les Dieux ont soif and eating a piece of peanut brittle. I had a series of dreams centering on sweet food-- first I was going to a school where all events were conducted in a waist-deep layer of treacle and Rice Krispie treat (and no one wore pants, as they made maneuvering in the treacle etc. impractical). Then I was at a comedy club where the comic was screaming insults at various members of the audience and I was eating a very good blonde brownie with chocolate chips in it. During another interlude I was walking around in town while drinking a cup of extremely sweet coffee. It continued like this for some time. Then I got up and brushed my teeth.

A giant tree (miles tall and very wide) had fallen into the ocean. There were drums playing from the green blur of the coast line as myself and some other people walked out. I was driving a car along a coastal highway (picture northern cali/southern OR) and we came out of some mountainous forest atmosphere and the ocean was off to our left (there was someone in the passenger seat). There were no other cars on the road and suddenly the road ahead got very very steep with the ocean still off to our left with a sheer drop off of the cliff face being unprotected by any guard rails. The road continued to move into a vertical position and the car eventually lost traction and tipped backwards into an upside down free fall. This is a reoccurring dream that I have and likely one of the most realistic. For all intents and purposes- I was falling in real life.

I had a dream I moved into a new house in Essex, only some joker had moved Essex to China (China looked distinctly like a cross between Singapore and Malaysia, then again I've not been to China but know those two places fairly well). Not that it mattered too much because apparently my county was still in reasonable driving distance (in fact I drove there in a car I don't own and am not legally allowed to operate in my waking life) so all was good. I went on a series of adventures with my friends, few of which I can remember although I'm fairly sure one of them involved further driving. I also had a shower with one of my friends which was immensely awkward, especially as we were endeavouring not to touch each other. Shortly afterwards kayl, inevitably it seems, turned up. Finally I dreamt I was walking home when I got phone call from my friend about his xmas eve party which was cancelled and being replaced with a boxing day piss up, for some reason this upset him immensely ad he was crying over the phone (which took me aback, even in the dream, he's one of those people who'd rather have their legs sawn off then discuss, much less show, his feelings). The phone conversation teleported him to me by a process only dream logic can explain, we resolved to have the party today and fuck the consequences and he started grabbing half-empty pints of beer that were left on the street for some reason and pouring them over people. The one he poured on me was full and I first thought it was piss (it was actually Carling, no joke) so I grabbed it off him after a few splashes and poured it onto some random bloke. I woke up shortly after this bloke's family started sending me death threats, including one where they sat round a webcam looking angrier and angrier.
That dream was quite tedious, all things considered.

I also had a shower with one of my friends which was immensely awkward, especially as we were endeavouring not to touch each other. Shortly afterwards kayl, inevitably it seems, turned up.
I turned up in the shower?

It was a green forest- raining and cool enough to see your breath. There were shadows in the shape of people and I was one of them. We were keeping to the outside of this small clearing- ducking behind trees and occasionally laying flat. I wasn't sure of what was going on but we were obviously hiding from something and the shadow I was next to kept turning towards me and then looking at the sky through the tree tops. There was a great rumbling blast out of nowhere and several aircraft (which appeared completely alien to me) flew past. The shadows and myself broke off slowly away from the outskirts of the clearing and walked down this hill- still in the forest- to a cottage. The cottage was old and beat up with the mossy roof and dirty smeared windows. The trees were spaced out to a greater extent here and there was more light penetrating through the canopy above. There was another rumbling blast but as the alien aircraft flew past I could hear the down throttle of an engine and saw one of them bank and turn around. The shadows began to scatter but the one next to me stood there looking up and as it turned back towards me there was a great flash of light followed by something sounding like gunfire. The sky and the tops of the trees lit up as the aircraft began to fire in. There was one final flash and the shadow next to me lit up- the blurry blackness disappearing- and it was my friend who died a long time ago. She had a look of absolute shock on her face and I will never forget it.

I dreamt last night that I was being chased by terminator from the 3rd movie. I then went to a tattoo shop and pierced my back where my shoulder blades and for some reason it felt really good. THEN I somehow ended up at my old job working, but I was only fucking around making fun of the boss.

And you may not be eating the right foods ;)
http://ezinearticles.com/?Foods-That-Induce-Lucid-Dreams&id=738475
There are many methods available that promote the occurrence of a lucid dream. Eating specific food (otherwise known as "lucid nutrition") before sleeping is one of the most successful methods to induce them. This is a list of the best three lucid foods and liquids to intake. To achieve the best possible results, remember to eat or drink immediately before sleeping.
Orange Juice
Orange juice, or any other pure fruit juice with no additives keeps your nervous system active while your body's muscles relax. Drinking a full glass of juice will allow for more vivid and memorable dreams, ultimately increasing the chance of a lucid dream.
Milk and Cheese
While it is known that milk and cheese (or any other dairy food) can help your body rest, they also greatly improve your dreams. Milk and cheese contain amino acids which have been proven to stimulate the production of a vital neurotransmitter for sleeping and dreaming, melatonin.
Mustard
Various sources have reported that eating a tablespoon of mustard will promote a higher success rate for lucid dreams. It may take up to three attempts for it to be successful, so it's important to remain patient if the method repeatedly fails.
Other foods include pickles, ice cream, popcorn and fish. While they are not as successful as the three foods and drinks listed above, some have suggested that they will improve your overall dream memorability and "train" your brain for future, naturally triggered lucid dreams. However, their use immediately before sleeping is not recommended as they contain fatty acids, salts and sugars which certainly doesn't help getting a good night's rest.

How do you all remember your dreams?
I have to think about the dream when I wake up to remember it. Otherwise the details dissipate like morning fog in the sunlight. The more I think about it, the more it solidifies. Usually I don't think about it very much and most of the details are gone before long.
Last night I had a recurring type of dream. I was on a balcony maybe four or five floors up. This type of dream I'm always up high, looking at what's happening below. I can focus on different scenes and be right there, hearing and seeing everything up close, even though I know I'm really a hundred meters away on the balcony. So I'm in an apartment where someone is washing dishes and another person is watching the television. Then I'm at a street vendor's, listening to conversations, smelling the takoyaki and beer. Then I focus on a couple of people standing at the corner, talking. The POV shifts and I become one of them. It's suddenly me and a friend, and we go to the train station to ride out to Odaiba, across the Rainbow Bridge. We run into some friends on the way, and a couple of them join us. I woke up shortly after we arrived.
