I mean in terms of politics, society, etc. Obviously I'd expect you'd be surprised if an angry dog were to suddenly come from around the corner and bite you in the dick.
Nowadays, it seems nothing phases me anymore. Whenever the government, say, passes some new repressive law, the liberals around me get riled up with a passion (and of course go on to do little more than verbally protest it). Not me, though. I kinda shrug my shoulders, and say "it's to be expected." That's not to say I don't get repulsed by the shit that happens. I just don't lose my shit over it, not anymore.
Then people go on to think I'm indifferent or cynical, of course, which does piss me off.
At the risk of sounding elitist, I just feel like I have an insight that those around me don't have, where they are constantly appalled at the things reactionaries do, as if they don't understand how and why those things come to happen. Ever since becoming a socialist, I've become more and more this way. I'm just wondering if anyone else feels like this.
